TBS Friday Drama Why Didn’t I Tell You a Million Times? is set for worldwide streaming on Netflix following its terrestrial broadcast debut

Created by screenwriter Naoko Adachi, this all-new romantic fantasy is warmhearted yet deeply poignant. Mao Inoue plays protagonist Yui Soma, reeling from the sudden death of her boyfriend Naoki Torino, played by Takeru Satoh, and unaware that his restless ghost continues to watch over her. Kenichi Matsuyama plays Yuzuru Uozumi, the psychically-sensitive detective investigating Naoki’s death, who becomes a go-between for the parted lovers. Following its broadcast premier in the TBS Friday Drama slot, Why Didn’t I Tell You a Million Times? will be streamed in Japan on Paravi, and released globally on Netflix. This will be the third new TBS series to find a home on Netflix, the first two being the Sunday Drama JAPAN SINKS: People of Hope, released on the streaming platform in October 2021, and the Tuesday Drama I Will Be Your Bloom, released in October 2022. With Yui and Naoki torn apart by Naoki’s sudden death, Yuzuru is their only channel of communication. Naoki’s ghost is tortured by regret for everything he left unsaid. Is some sort of resolution still possible Tender and moving, Naoko Adachi’s original tale of supernatural romance centers on a trio of characters plunged into strange predicaments and struggling to transcend the limits of possibility. Viewers are in for a treat as talented actors explore the subtleties of the human heart when love is at stake. A few days later, Yuzuru meets Naoki on the street, but is shocked to discover afterwards that he was actually talking to a ghost. Realizing that the detective is the only person who can see him, Naoki begs Yuzuru to convey a message to Yui. |
