Tasuku, the young brother of Ataru who never appeared in the television drama emerges here as the lead suspect in a serial killing case.
Ataru flies from New York to rescue his brother and discover the truth behind the murders which bear a strong resemblance to the "Crucifixion Murders" that shocked the United States in 1997. He is joined in the effort by 1st Crime Division investigator, Sawa, and ex-cop and current private detective, Maiko, for a reunion of the "Ataru Trio."
